Untying parent anxiety. Years 5-8 : 18 myths that have you in knots–and how to get free by Lisa Sugarman

Find in catalogThis book is a MUST READ for anyone who is anxious about sending their young child off to school for the first time. The author spent many years working in public schools and sets a lot of fears at ease for parents who worry that their child will flounder and fail in a school setting, away from their protection. She does a fantastic job of talking about all the behaviors to expect and not freak out about, as well as how they are all a part of development during this age 5-8 time period. She is going to be coming out with other books in older age brackets in years to come and I’m looking forward to reading them as well!
