The Lightless Sky: a twelve-year-old refugee’s harrowing escape from Afghanistan and his extraordinary journey across half the world by Gulwali Passarlay

Find in catalogAn amazing story enlightening story about the journey to a new life by a young determined young boy. I’ve vaguely aware of how much trouble it can be when it becomes necessary to leave one’s home in the hopes of safety and a good life in another country, but I never knew the extend of unnecessary danger, terror, and fear that the journey entails. I am very thankful for Gulwali sharing his story and showing me, in no uncertain terms, that better immigration and foreign policies are needed to improve our current situations in this world we live in.
