We: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere by Gillian Anderson and Jennifer Nadel

Find in catalogIt’s a practical look and guide of being a woman in the 21st century. The book centers on nine universal principles that are a nice touchstone for cutting through what we are supposed to be to get to where we actually want to be. It’s part self-help book and part social theory with the focus of being less focused on expectations and the old ways so that there is more time for what’s really important. I thought it was a pretty good book and I liked and agreed with a lot of points the authors brought up. It’s the book version of getting together with close friends over a weekend and instead of being troubled by differences one realizes how much you all have in common.
