A Face in the Crowd, by Stephen King

This short store by Stephen King dives into what appears to be the calm and lonely existence of one widower, Dean Evers, as he watches a simple game of baseball. Then, in the true fashion of Stephen King, nothing is as it first appears when the reality of Evers’ existence is brought forth in the return of those who couldn’t possible return and he must stop denying the world he created for himself and face another much more mysterious one.
