The Call of the Wild by Jack London

Find in catalogIn this classic tale, set in the 1890s Klondike God Rush, sled dogs were in high demand and we find a house pet named Buck sold into the race for gold. From Buck’s perspective, we gain a unique understanding of the atavistic traits required in the harsh and unforgiving climate of Alaska. This journey takes us to each side of both civilization and eventually the wild. I love and appreciate this simple and semi-mythical story for being just that, and from I absolutely love how it was done so well from a dog’s perspective. I found it a priceless read; even more so for having a dog myself for the first time.
