Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer

Find in catalogJon Krakauer tells his story of the top of the world and his journey in one of the most dangerous places known to man. I respect him not only as an individual, but also as an author, as he depicts one of the deadliest seasons on Everest as he experienced it and from those who experienced it with him. I appreciated his search for the most accurate telling of events and his humility in the face of such a tremendous and personal event. I can only vaguely picture what it must have been like on that mountain, having limited climbing experience myself. And Everest has always been in my mind so grand and challenging that I can hardly fathom what that mountain can do for your mind and your body.
