Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot

Queen of BabbleI have read several of Meg Cabot’s novels and this book/series is by far my favorite. The main character, Lizzie Nichols, has one of those sweetly awkward personalities you can’t help but fall in love with. You’re cheering alongside her throughout the novel, while having many face palm moments asking “Why, Lizzie, why?” The setting is a beautiful chateau and vineyard in France, so you may find yourself craving bread, cheese and wine throughout the novel.

This series is a great summer read because it is extremely lighthearted and fun. I would recommend it to lovers of the “Shopaholic” series by Sophie Kinsella because it contains similar laugh out loud humor and romantic adventures.
