Data, a Love Story: how I gamed online dating to meet my match by Amy Webb

Data, A Love StoryAmy Webb is an experienced self-employed computer expert and a total math whiz, plus rather ‘nerdy.’ After unsuccessfully trying several of the top online dating sites (which she relates very comically), she focused on JDate (to seek a “Jew-ish” husband) and in the process created 10 profiles of Men Seeking Women in order to start corresponding electronically with women in order to find out how the ‘popular’ women flirt, advertise themselves, find men to date, etc. Yes, this lady is quite a character. Many spreadsheets and matrices later, she finally found a man who met her threshold of “a minimum of 700 points” in her self-designed scoring system, which would allow her to actually go on a date with him. Full of personality and humor and details she hopes will help others, even those not interested in ‘gaming’ the system, the book is a pretty light and fun read.
