Longbourn by Jo Baker

LongbournDo you like Jane Austen? How about Keira Knightley? Do you adore Ang Lee’s amazing film of Pride & Prejudice? Okay, but did you ever wonder what the servants’ lives at Longbourn were like? We never saw a maid empty even one chamber pot, did we? Here’s a tightly written and wonderfully rendererd imagining of what it was like for the servants in Austen’s day. Written in Sarah’s voice, we find an equally compelling drama among the staff – the downstairs to P&P’s upstairs saga. Beautifully written, this is truly a fun read for Austen fans. Enjoy!
