Panorama City by Antoine Wilson

Panorama CityOppen Porter is a simple man who calls himself a “slow absorber.” After his father dies he begins to tell his life story via tape recorder to his soon-to-be born son. In the meantme Oppen’s aunt believes that he should come live with her in Panorama City; she intends to “straighten out” his life and keep him on the right path. Oppen has his own ideas and philosophies of life as he looks for his place in the world; it is these gems that make the book what it is. At times comic, sad, and real, but most of all genuine. The language is a delight to read.
