McGee & Stuckie’s The Bountiful Container by Rose Marie Nichols McGee & Maggie Stuckie

The Bountiful ContainerThis book inspired my daughter to have a garden despite no ground to have one in.

There is a section on planning your garden, a section on the basics of gardening, and a section on what plants, vegetables and flowers, that can be successfully grown in containers. Types of containers and special needs of plants grown in containers are thoroughly discussed.

The book is laid out in a quite user-friendly fashion. It is easy to look up the bit of information you need.

When I first picked up Bountiful Containers, it was quite difficult to set it down. I just kept randomly flipping through and finding information that interested me. Great and resourceful book.

If all this isn’t enough, the authors are Oregonians, gardening in the Willamette Valley.
