Fear the Worst by Linwood Barclay

fear the worstTim Blake is an average guy. He’s divorced, with a 17 year old daughter and he works at the local Honda dealership selling cars. One day daughter Sydney fails to return home from her summer job at a motel. She has just disappeared without a trace, and her employer says that in fact she never worked at the motel at all. Tim sets out to find her, conducting his own investigation with help from his ex-wife, her used car salesman boyfriend, and Sydney’s best friend Patty. This is an exciting mystery with some fun, humorous interludes. I really enjoyed it.
