Breasts: A natural and unnatural history by Florence Williams

BreastsWilliams uses the first person point-of-view including her personal experiences with breastfeeding, being analyzed as a candidate for ‘augmentation’ as part of her research, and other ways of being affected by this topic as a woman. She puts to good use humor and sly innuendo in reporting on her years of scholarly research. She uses much dialogue citing her discussions with the ‘experts,’ as well as speculation and humor in between quoting historic texts and current reports. She is definitely ‘all in’ as an active participant, and this is a fun read for a serious, and scientifically interested, reader.
